Getting Started
What is AppReviewAgent?
AppReviewAgent is an AI agent you ask questions about your app reviews. Instead of scrolling through the App Store or Google Play, you ask — 'What are users saying about checkout this month?' — and the agent reads the reviews and answers in plain language, citing the source reviews behind every answer. Want it inside your own AI assistant? You can also connect it over MCP (the same approach AppReviewMCP uses).
How do I get started?
You can ask your first question in about a minute:
- Sign up for your 14-day free trial (no credit card)
- Connect your app from your workspace to AppReviewAgent
- Ask a question and read the answer with its source reviews
- Optional: connect your own AI client over MCP, with a custom connector (sign in) or an API key from Workspace → API Keys
Can I use it from my own AI client?
Yes. In addition to asking in the AppReviewAgent dashboard, you can connect over MCP (Model Context Protocol) from Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf (by Codeium), Continue.dev, Zed, and any other MCP-compatible client. Connect Claude or ChatGPT by adding the server URL as a custom connector and signing in (OAuth), or send an API key created in your workspace as an Authorization: Bearer header from any other client.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and no credit card is required. After the trial, you choose a paid plan to keep asking questions.
API & Data
What counts as one question?
One question is one prompt you send to the agent, for example 'What are users saying about checkout in the UK this month?'. The agent does the work of pulling and reading the relevant reviews, and every answer cites the source reviews it used.
What data do answers draw on?
The agent reads each review's star rating (1–5), title, body text, date, app version, device type (where available), country/store region, and developer reply (if one exists), and cites the reviews behind each answer.
Which app stores are supported?
Both Apple App Store (iOS/macOS) and Google Play Store (Android). You can ask about reviews from 170+ country-specific stores — e.g., the UK App Store vs. the US App Store.
What apps can I analyze?
You can ask questions about any apps your organization has connected to AppReviewAgent. This gives you detailed analysis of your own app store reviews.
What filters are available?
You can ask about reviews by star rating, date range, country, or app version in your natural language question. For example, ask about only 1-star reviews from the past 30 days — the agent filters and analyzes those specific reviews.
Pricing & Plans
What are the pricing tiers?
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no credit card required. Essential ($19/mo): 1,000 questions per month. Pro ($49/mo): 10,000 questions per month. Business ($99/mo): 50,000 questions per month. Annual billing is $15, $39, and $79 per month. All plans include App Store, Google Play, all countries, and answers that cite their source reviews.
What happens when I hit my monthly question limit?
Questions pause until your quota resets at the start of the next month, and you'll see a prompt to upgrade if you need more right away. There are no overage charges. You'll receive an email warning when you reach 80% of your quota.
Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel?
Yes, at any time from your account dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Cancellations stop billing immediately, and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
Do you offer enterprise or volume pricing?
Yes. If you need more than 50,000 questions per month, dedicated infrastructure, or on-premise deployment, contact us about Enterprise. We work with data providers, analytics platforms, and AI companies that need high-volume access.
Technical
How reliable is the API?
Our infrastructure is built for reliability with continuous monitoring. Agent responses are generated after reading your reviews, so response time depends on the size of your review dataset.
Is my API key secure?
Yes. Each API key belongs to one organization and is read-only. Only a SHA-256 hash is stored, so the full key is shown once when you create it and cannot be shown again. You can revoke a key at any time under Workspace > API Keys and create a new one. Keep keys out of config files committed to version control. Signing in through a Claude or ChatGPT connector uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and needs no key.
What does the MCP config look like (for my own AI client)?
Create an API key under Workspace → API Keys, then add the server to your MCP client (e.g., Cursor's .cursor/mcp.json). Claude and ChatGPT can instead add the URL as a custom connector and sign in, with no key:
{
"mcpServers": {
"appreviewagent": {
"url": "https://www.appreviewagent.com/api/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer ark_your_key" }
}
}
}Support
What support is available?
All plans include email support, with a response within 1 business day. Pro and Business users also get priority queue access and faster response times.
How fast do you respond to support requests?
Email support requests are typically answered within 1 business day on Essential, and within a few hours on Pro and Business. Community questions are monitored by the team and usually answered same day.
